The Wagga North Solar Farm site is located adjacent to the Bomen industrial zone, just north of the regional centre of Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.

CoMade were engaged to assist with the construction, completion and commissioning of a 30MW solar farm, which was partially complete and a critical path that had stalled.

The team mobilised at pace, working in collaboration with local land owners to achieve an ambitious project completion date, successfully completed on time on budget where previous teams had been unsuccessful.

The Darwin-Katherine Electricity System Plan charts the pathway to achieving the Northern Territory Government’s 2030 vision for renewables to supply 50% of energy consumed. The installed battery storage system will store excess electricity generated during periods of low demand and supply it during peak hours when the demand is high. This will help balance the load on the grid, mitigate the risk of blackouts, and enhance the overall reliability of the electricity supply.

The CoMade team were engaged to provide construction completion, system integration, permit to work management and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical systems and assets. We delivered all aspects seamlessly including proving the design functionality to meet mandatory requirements and Australian standards.

Mobilising a team of subject matter experts and skilled trades technicians to complement the joint venture delivery model, the CoMade experts expedited construction and commissioning and increased the efficiencies of the commissioning process.

Construction Management

Queensland Electricity Transmission Corporation, Powerlink Queensland, commissioned a project for a high-voltage overhead electricity transmission line connect the northwest minerals province to the national grid and establish a renewable energy zone to assist QLD with its vision towards zero emission energy.

CoMade were engaged to provide expert advice on constructability and contract management strategies, particularly in the management and delivery of Mega Infrastructure Projects (>$2B AUD). Our client leveraged CoMade’s unrivalled insight into key lessons learned on like projects to ensure an effective critical path design and seamless delivery.
